My story
If you were to describe me in 3 words, I bet athletic, fit and sporty would not be the first words that would spring to mind - but one thing I am is determined! I will, with my good friend Caroline Jackson be completing 26.2 miles (jolking - a mixture of jogging and walking) on 7th May 2012, in aid of Signpost International.
I have had first hand experience of working with this charity and witnessing the great work that is carried out. Signpost is currently working with poor communities in the Philippines, India, Uganda and in the UK, offering empowerment and support to bring about community-driven change. Through skills training and small business start-up, the provision of clean water and electricity, child sponsorship to support education, community education in healthcare issues and small scale environmental projects, they are seeing thousands of lives transformed each year.
This is my motivation to cross the finish line!
