Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit Lynton Incoll's JustGiving page.

Lynton sadly died on 23rd February 2013, after a long battle with prostate cancer. He will be greatly mourned and missed by his family and friends.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK - it accounts for nearly a quarter (24%) of all new male diagnoses. Although there has been a huge rise in prostate cancer incidence over the last 20 years, this has not been reflected in mortality rates.

Lynton always believed that detecting the disease at an earlier stage would have extended his lifespan further.  Nevertheless, he participated in two drug trials, which extended his life and enabled him to continue to do the things he loved and enjoyed, even in the advanced stages of the disease.

By funding the Prostate Cancer Charity you would be helping other men - who might find themselves in the same frightening position as he did following a diagnosis of prostate cancer - to benefit from earlier diagnosis and a better understanding of the disease and the treatments that might be available.
