Base Camp Trek 2012

In April 2012 I am joining an expedition to Everest. I am travelling with twenty colleagues from where I work (St. James’s Place Wealth Management) and together we hope to raise £500,000 for our Foundation, that grants awards to the smaller UK registered charities operating in the UK and abroad.
I have already been a successful member of two other expeditions that have raised over £275,000 for the foundation, one to summit Mont Blanc in 2007 and another to summit The Mattahorn in 2008. This trip is bolder still, and for the 20 trekkers, many of whom have very little mountaineering or trekking experience, it represents the trip of a lifetime and one where they stand to gain a great deal in terms of personal development.
For one of our party, it doesn’t end at Everest Base Camp. Our Expedition Leader, Roger Owen, will set his sights on the summit of Everest, and after the main trekking party have left base camp he will aim to stand on the roof of the world.
I hope to raise my share of £500,000, and would be very grateful if you could contribute to our cause by sponsoring the team and I on this adventure.
