<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and I am proud to be running for the Myositis Support Group.</p> <p>(<a href="http://www.myositis.org.uk/about_support_group.htm">http://www.myositis.org.uk/about_support_group.htm</a>)</p> <p><span class="txtnormal"><span class="txtnormal">This registered&nbsp;group&nbsp;is the only UK charity specific for the inflammatory myopathies; Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis, Inclusion Body Myositis and Juvenile Dermatomyositis.&nbsp; Click on the link above to learn more....</span></span></p> <p>Let me explain why -</p> <p>I have known Lorna for&nbsp;quite a few years - we work together for the same pharmaceutical company and have become great&nbsp;friends.&nbsp; Her daughter was recently diagnosed with Juvenille Dermatomyositis, a rare and horrendous illness.&nbsp;Although they both remain strong and positive, I know that this disease has had a huge impact on their lives and I want to do something to help.&nbsp;Lorna makes me laugh everyday and her daughter is hilarious - she is amazing and a real fighter !&nbsp; She has had countless medical interventions and is constantly challenged by this illness - she has recently been to Great Ormond Street for treatment, but remains positive.</p> <p>The Myositis Charity have been amazingly supportive to Lorna and her daughter but need to raise much needed funds for research into the disease.&nbsp; They have a limited amount of spaces allocated for the Marathon and have given two to Lorna and I - who will be running this together.&nbsp; So, this is extra special.......and I need to raise some serious money for this group.</p> <p>So please dig deep and donate now.</p>
