Follow the Adventure on My Blog

Can a collective community of people come together to raise money to contribute towards a superb cause? This fundraising page will be an experiment in answering that question.

This page is an attempt to show that a large community of small donations can make a BIG difference. As my trip and fundraising develops, I hope to include different ways of reaching my designated target of £5000.00. That's £1.00 for every mile I hope to ride. I think it's important to state: the donations all go directly to Cancer Research UK. My travel is all self funded. This page is an attempt to incorporate a worthy cause to drive me on through the tough days in the saddle.

Every bid, regardless of the amount is gratefully accepted. Large amounts are most welcome, but hopefully the small amounts will make up the a community of people, all contributing all under one common cause.

2000 Miles in after flying through the Kansas flats. Hoping for some spectacuar scenery in the weeks ahead as the constant image of farmland that has surrounded me the last week is losing it's novelty. Also, family tells me my story made this weeks local Gazette. Progress!

Have just passed the 1500 Mile markeer. Back wheel is completely shot, so am holed up in amotel twitching to get back on my bike. Thanks for all the donations so far x
