Acorns Children's Hospice is very dear to Mayflex and as a company we have been working hard over the last few years to raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile cause.

Acorns currently cares for over 600 life-limited children and their families. It estimates that a further 1,000 children with life-limiting conditions live in the West Midlands region who could be benefiting from Acorns services. Acorns has to find £6 million per year to fund its current service, and relies on fundraising for over 80% of its income. There is no charge to families whatsoever for the life-line services they receive at Acorns, but it costs £450 per day for a childs care. Life-limited children have a lot of living to do, Acorns aims to make every day extra special for the children and families it serves.

Eleven Mayflex ladies will be setting off at midnight, on Saturday 19th September, to do a 10km walk around the streets of Birmingham.  That in itself should see us earn danger money if nothing else!!
