Little Hearts Matter is a national charity offering support and information to anyone affected by the devastating diagnosis of a single ventricle heart condition, children born with half a working heart. We work to support and raise awareness of the needs of these children and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Mortgage Bureau Directors Jamie Barnett and Mark Clouston have set themselves the challenge of trekking a gruelling 54 miles in 24 hours (mostly overnight, in the dark and cold) across the Brecon Beacons as part of the Trekfest challenge.

Why are they doing this? Well, they are hoping to raise lots of money for Little Hearts Matter (LHM), a fantastic charity that supports families who get told their baby has only half a working heart - the most serious type of congenital heart disease. These conditions are not compatible with life and require open heart surgery within days of the baby being born. LHM offer support and information to anyone affected by these conditions from the time of diagnosis and as a child grows up. They also offer bereavement support for the children who sadly don't survive. All their information and support is free so they need your donations to keep doing this vital work.

LHM is Mortgage Bureau's official Charity. They heard of their work through a friend who had been supported by the charity following the death of his daughter, and wanted to help.

So please help with any amount you can afford and help them reach our sponsorship target! Thank You
