Why a run?
We all are in a life-long run anyway, we run for shower, breakfast, to the office, in-between meetings, back to home, to a meal with friends, etc...But how many runs are for a good reason! When looking back to my short life-run I felt I could do more for better reasons, so why not run for kids to have the feeling of being HOME?
I have never done a half-marathon before (21 Km / 13 miles), so I’m emotionally in front of a big wall of workout hours and muscle pain, the more YOU donate, the SMALLER it becomes. I will be sharing my stories (I’ll try to share as much as my self-worth can handle :-)). Join me for this and we can do it together.
How does it work?
Every contributor becomes part of the race!! I run, you contribute to make BIG for the kids.
It’s an easy 3 steps process :-), you donate today, I run end of January, and many kids will get education, medical care and a family for life.
Why SOS Children’s Village?
Reasonably, we human being are all born to belong to a place we love calling “home”. However in practice, there are between 143 million and 210 million orphans worldwide*, and this is not it, approximately 5,760 more children become orphans every day around the world. SOS Children’s Village so far provided a home to approximately 1,272,482 children Globally. With your help, we might help adding more numbers to that figure.
What is in it for me?
Well, this one is hard to answer...I mean, other than the pride you can feel by offering a children or a new born the chance to have a home and live with a family, helping her/him to go to school and have a future, and ultimately save her/his a life from the street. NOTHING!!
What can you do to help?
Join me, donate now!
I will take care of preparing myself for the half-marathon race on January 31, and obviously recovering myself afterward J. 100% of the money goes to the kids...
What are the success factors?
· With you, we reach the £ 2000 target· As a team, we finish the race (don’t worry, I’ll do the running :-))
