Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The bike ride to Blackpool was all over in a matter of hours (six). We crossed the finish line on Blackpool prom by the Glitter ball at 2:00pm leaving the rest of the day to enjoy the wind and rain.
All ten of the team home safe and well if a little sore.
Members of Manchester Diving Group are taking part in this years Manchester to Blackpool bike ride on the 4th of July 2010. The ten strong team will be riding to raise money for the Help for Heroes charity.
Amongst the riders will be Territorial Army soldier Mark Webber, who has completed a tour of duty in Afghanistan and is expecting to be called for a further tour in 2011.
MDG's 52 year old chairman Andy Appleby, an above knee amputee, who is also attempting the 60 mile ride to Blackpool, said "It's not just about money, it's as much about showing that we support the British Armed Forces and respect their professionalism, commitment and sacrifices." If you wish to sponsor the MDG effort please please dig deep and donate now.
