Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when I was 21. It is a very painful, debilitating condition which made simple tasks like walking up stairs or even taking the tops of bottles and jars really difficult. I received many years of treatment at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt hospital until 9 years ago when the condition went into remission. At the age of 40 I started running with the challenge of completing a 5km Race for Life. Since then I have competed in several races for different charities. The final challenge which I wanted to complete before I turn 50 is the London Marathon. I am so grateful that my heath now allows me to attempt this and thrilled to be able to give something back to the hospital that helped me!
