Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Warwickshire & Northamptonshire) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. We receive no government funding for our daily missions. Your support keeps us flying.

Story

Hello, thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

If you know me, you'll know I often do charity challenges. Someone joked that my charity challenges this year didn't take any effort, as I don't have to train for them, I do however have to have a LOT of courage.

I have decided...to jump off the top of a lift tower that is over 400ft in height. I thought I would put that into perspective so calculated how many times taller than my Dad it was, as he is one of the tallest people I know! It worked out at nearly 70 Dad's, now that is high, because he's 6ft 4in!!!

After that I thought I would go a little higher and jump out of an aeroplane at 1,300ft high. I gave up on the calculations, and decided it didn't matter.

It doesn't matter because however high it is, it could never meet the bravery, determination and grit (lots more courage than me) of the people that go and save lives every day as part of the Air Ambulance service.

They are not government funded, they save 1000's of lives and make the difference to so many that anything is worth chucking yourself off a height or jumping out of a plane for.

This year I am supporting them as our Team charity to raise the £15,000 they need to buy a new mobile life support machine for the Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire Air Ambulance or the Children's emergency car. Then once we've achieved that we will raise more funds to maybe buy another one for one of their other critical services.

Thank you for your donation, however large or small. And as my Nan said about this life-saving organisation when she was still with us, 'You never know, one day you might need them!' - Margaret Wheat 1931 - 2013
