Kathmandu Contemporary Arts Centre (KCAC) is a charity set up by Celia Washington and was proudly supported by her mother during her lifetime.

Her daughters Diana and Celia have decided to set up a Margaret Washington Memorial Scholarship so that her name will live on in an active way.

Every year KCAC gives scholarships to a recent Nepali art graduates - they are given a studio, money for materials and at the end of their residency an exhibition with a catalogue. (This costs £1,200 a year for each scholar.)

Diana and Celia look forward to many years when they will be looking at the work of recent graduates and choosing one to be helped in memory or their mother.
