Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may know, last year my best friend Dean Burrell was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) commonly known as the human form of mad-cow disease. At the age of just 25 he is thought to be the youngest of only a small number of people in the UK to contract this incurable and fatal disease.I am now very sad to report that on the evening of June 24, Dean, a loving son and brother, devoted husband and father of two, passed away.
In his memory I have entered myself to take part in the British 10K Run (http://www.thebritish10klondon.co.uk/) taking place next month, July 11.
I have chosen to represent and raise money for the charity 'CJD Support Network' (cjdsupport.net) who help people like myself and families of those affected by the disease with practical, emotional and financial support.
If you can please spare anything at all towards this worthy cause, myself, the friends and family of Dean and all those being affected by this disease would be incredibly grateful.
