Story
In September 2010, 15 former Welsh Rugby Captains and Welsh Coach Warren Gatland took part in the ‘Captains Climb’ and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Velindre Cancer Centre’s ‘Stepping Stones Appeal’ and raised an amazing £470,000.
Now, not to be outdone by their predecessors, and to do their bit for an amazing charity, recent Welsh legends Shane Williams, Martyn Williams and Stephen Jones are following in the ‘old guys’ footsteps and climbing to the ‘Roof of Africa’ and we're fortunate enough to be joining them.
On the 20 September 2013 we’re heading off on the ‘Trek of a Lifetime’ and embarking on a six day trek along the Marangu route to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
We have pledged to raise a whopping £20,000 for the ‘Stepping Stones Appeal’ and we need your help. Please donate what you can to this fantastic cause and help us to do our little bit to ensure that the ‘Trek with Legends’ is at least equally as successful as the ‘Captains Climb’. We’d like to thank you in advance for your generosity and we hope to do you all proud by making it to the ‘Roof of Africa’.
