At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Both Helen, Beverley and Caroline have family hit by this horrendous disease.   As well as raising money for research and support we want to raise awareness.  Conditions in the Dementia family effect people of all ages and you may not realise how many people in your community are struggling with different stages.  Please be aware and be kind - that's all being a Dementia Friend means.  You don't need to donate money to help, just be aware and generous if you think someone needs a hand or your patience.  Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that’s the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it’s the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
