Helen & Douglas House helps local families cope with the challenges of looking after a terminally ill baby or child who will die prematurely. We are a home from home for our patients and their families, and provide round-the-clock care in a warm, loving environment.

Story

The Dexia Project Finance team has been invited to take part in BNP Paribas' grueling 50 mile cycle challenge on the 28th September 2011 from the outskirts of London to Oxford to raise funding for a very worthy cause - The Helen & Douglas House Children's Hospice in Oxford (www.helenanddouglas.org.uk), a registered charity providing respite and end of life care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions, as well as support and friendship for the whole family.

Entering the "race" from Dexia's side are 5 battle hardened project financiers (Iain Wales, Alistair Perkins, Peter Clifton, Barry Dale and myself) whose athletic pedigree is believed to be without parallel (?) but this lung busting adventure has been designed to test each of their endurance skills to the limit.

With £2500 of donations and a crack team of roadside support at our side, excuses for failing to complete the challenge will be harder to justify than a bankers Xmas party at Pétrus. We thereby kindly invite you donate through this simple, fast and totally secure webpage. The Helen and Douglas Children's Hospice will also receive their money directly with an extra 28% in tax rebate added (at zero cost to you) if you are a UK taxpayer.

Payments are simple, fast and totally secure. They don't pass on or send unwanted emails so please dig deep and donate now.
