Following the great success by Team 74 last year (Nick Helm & Mark Hallows) who raised an amazing £1,400.00 towards the events total of £123,000.00 we have decided to have another go. Unfortunatelly Mark is unable to compete this year, and is being replaced by Simon Carter.
Both of our lives have been deeply affected by cancer in close relatives and friends, Macmillan Cancer Support give invaluable care and help to sufferers and their families. This year is especially important to Macmillan, it being their centenary, 100 years of great work is an amazing milestone. Macmillan cancer support are 99% dependant on voluntary donations, we are very enthusiastic that this continues and are asking you to dig deep to help achieve this. Whatever you give will help us achieve our personal target, and more importantly help them to help others.
Macmillan 4x4 challenge is an annual event, usually over three days, this year however the event is celebrating its 10th year, and has been extended to 4 days Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th March 2011. A test of navigational skills, observation, on and off road driving ability and endurance; by day and night. Each team consists of only two people and one vehicle and usually travels all over the British Isles.
