Great North Run 2004 · 26 September 2004 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

It has to be a good cause to get a lazy arse like me off it long enough to train - and it is. In the future there will be more and more people over 80 years old. This should be a time when you are able to enjoy your memories, not be robbed of them. Even if you avoid the condition, there is a good chance a family member will be affected.

Research underway - suppported by the society - is close to finding a cause for the condition. There is a real chance that this disease may be a thing of the past in the very near future.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
