Hi all,
On 20th November I'll be doing my first marathon, in the exotic location of Luton.
To mark the occasion I've decided to raise money for CSV, a charity that I already volunteer with (http://www.csv.org.uk/?display=volunteering). I'm an Ally for a young person in foster care, taking her out once a fortnight to do fun activities and, more importantly, give her an impartial adult if she needs to talk to someone.
The money I raise will go towards a great trip for all the young people on the project and their Allies - we haven't decided yet but it could be a trip to a theme park or an adventure activity. With all the cutbacks the budget for the project is pretty tight at the moment so we don't get chance to do big days out like this that often.
I know times are tough but whatever you can spare would be much appreciated - every little helps! And it will help spur me on as I'm slogging my way around 26.2 miles!
