Story

Highest darts score in 24 hours hitting bulls and 25s World Record Attempt for Magpas

Magpas, The Emergency Medical Charity who save lives in the East of England will benefit from a 24-hour charity darts match to be held on 27 November 2010 at The Monkfield Arms, Cambourne starting at 3pm and going through until Sunday 28 November at 3pm.  There will be a disco after the event. Organisers hope they will raise a minimum of £3000.The world record attempt will be how many times they can hit bulls eye in a 24 hour period. The current record (current as at the date of this release) is:  The highest darts score in 24 hours, hitting only bulls-eyes and 25s is 526,750 by a team of eight darters at the George Inn, Morden, Surrey, UK, on 1-2 July 1994.

Supporters will be able to guess how many bulls eye the players could complete during the 24 hours - with each guess supporters pledged £1.00. There will be a raffle featuring prizes, such as a Phil Taylor signed photo, two tickets to the darts world’s championship in December plus many more.

One of the event organisers, Wayne Chandley from Cambourne said “Magpas is a wonderful charity and I’m hoping we can raise a good amount for them. This is a charity that needs everyone’s support and it is vital that their service keeps going. By supporting Magpas the money that will be raised really will help to save lives. I know the difference Magpas makes at the scenes of incidents and I feel is so important that the general public know what they do and how you can support them.”
