I am a retired obstetrician volunteering with MCAI. We are a small charity involved in training midwives in Liberia to be obstetric and neonatal clinicians (task sharing), with a view to reducing maternal and neonatal mortality. It has been amazingly successful to date.  Our finances are completely tied up in this important project. We were recently contacted by a doctor in Kabul requesting hard copies of our 4 textbooks in obstetrics neonatology & paediatrics. Our digital version is available to them but the internet in Afghanistan is unreliable and non-existent in many parts of the country. They require 250 copies of each book. 

The cost of printing the 1,000 books  is £9,300.  The Taliban have agreed to allow them into the country.

I would be grateful for any help you can give towards the cost.
