Story
We are working to create an accessible, vibrant, wildlife-friendly garden for the 26 residents at 'Beechwood', a Leonard Cheshire home in Edgerton, Huddersfield.
The garden that was built for the Victorian owners of Beechwood, is no longer suitable for meeting the leisure needs of wheelchair users, who would like to access greenspace and experience nature.
With your help we can create a fantastic space for residents to relax, learn gardening skills, and party in!
We've raised £10,000 from selling surplus stone and have already started making improvements, but we're now in need of further help to finish the job!
With your help we'd love to fund:
- A new wheelchair-friendly surface for the access paths
- Flowers, shrubs and trees, seeds and tools for residents
- Raised beds for residents to grow vegetables and flowers
Any and all donations are very welcome!
- £50 would fund one square meter of access path surfacing
- £25 would fund one square meter of planted flowers, shrubs and trees OR tools and seeds for raised beds
