<p>Dear Family and Friends,</p> <p>In 2006, David tragically lost one of&nbsp;his closest friends, Christopher Gallagher, to malaria contracted while travelling in Asia. In memory of Christy, his parents, Martin and Mary Gallagher, established the <strong>'Christy Gallagher Memorial Malaria Fund'</strong> with Children in Crossfire to help prevent the deadly disease from claiming the lives of some of the world's poorest and most vulnerable children.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />Donations made to the 'Malaria Fund' are used by Children in Crossfire in 3 regions of Tanzania to distribute mosquito nets to vulnerable families with children under the age of 5, as well as, funding community awareness&nbsp;workshops about the prevention and treatment of malaria .<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />Each year in Tanzania an estimated 60,000 people die of malaria, and of these approximately 80% are children under the age of 5 years.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />In lieu of gifts, we are ask that you help support the <strong>&lsquo;Christy Gallagher Memorial Malaria Fund&rsquo;</strong> with a donation.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Thanks for all your love and support!!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Love,</p> <p>David and Hannah</p>
