Every day in a remote rural community in Kumi District, Uganda, 673 children and 10 teachers gather with little shade, few books, a single chair and only one desk but with a passion to learn. Their parents and the local community have worked hard and made considerable sacrifices to give them this opportunity. A walk of over 5km to school every day to be taught in the shade of amango tree was not good enough and so they embarked on an incredible journey which brought them to Build Africa's attention. Like parents throughout the world they want the best possible education for their children and we want to support them in their extraordinary mission. With your help we can help them to realise their dream of a decent school for their children!
For only £325 you could furnish an entire classroom with desks or for £5,300 you could even build a classroom! £565 would build a latrine and just £32 would provide one desk. Please help the parents and children of Malera Okouba by supporting our campaign!
