Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. I'm aiming to raise some money for Street Child of Sierra Leone to put two teachers from Mamuria CPS through three years of tertiary training, and provide a basic salary to help with their living expenses during that time.
In 2012 I was lucky enough to spend some with the people of Mamuria and help them build a new three classroom school to replace their well-loved but inadequate thatch hut. Now that they have a building, and two dedicated teachers who are passionate about teaching the kids of Mamuria, the next step is to provide the teachers with a formal tertiary education.
I've teamed up with the awesome guys at Street Child of Sierra Leone to help me manage the ongoing logistics of getting the teachers trained. They have been running their Every Child in School programme for some time now, and they are having great success getting the infrastructure and training setup to bring education into remote communities in Sierra Leone. They've very kindly committed that every dollar/pound that comes to them through my page will go directly to Mamuria CPS - none of it will go into other schools or their overheads and expenses of running their dedicated teams on the ground.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
