Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have been inspired to raise funds for Parkinsons UK by a good friend and colleague who has recently been diagnosed with Parkinsons. While there has been progress in treating the symptons there is still no cure, so anything I can do, no matter how big or small, to help support those caring for people with Parkinsons and fund those trying to find a cure will help.
To do this I will be running the Reading Half Marathon in March 2011. Running a half marathon is a huge test for me, I overcame back issues to trek up a mountain and now feel it's time to step this up to running. As with the mountain trek, I know that your support will really help to keep me motivated and push me through any barriers I hit.
I would like to raise as much money as possible for a society that is so supportive to its members and their families as well as researching long term cures.
So please dig deep and donate anything that you can.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
