Story

Hi Folks,

I created this webpage after learnign about Asha's achievement of helping 135 slum students to get admission in Delhi University, what a way to give young students a life time opportunity !

Why Asha is different -- http://www.asha-india.org

Asha's past and ongoing successes have made it a well known and respected Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) and an active contributor to discussion on slum policy in India. The Asha model for slum development has the potential to be used in urban poor communities worldwide.

Asha's methods address deep-rooted social problems alongside those created by poverty. Asha's model of women's empowerment has the remarkable ability to motivate, unite and empower poor women from diverse backgrounds living in challenging conditions anywhere in the world. The replication of Asha's housing rights scheme is the single biggest hope for large-scale urban development and housing for people living in the slums across India and cities all throughout the developing world.

In the ened, i wanted to say that please visit their website as Asha is doing tremendous work in Delhi's slums for their Health and Community upliftment. Also it is a great opportunity to visit their headquarters when you visit Indian next time, spare atleast a day and get involved there..

Please visit : http://www.asha-india.org (All your donation done in page directly goes to Friends of Asha)

Regards,

Manish
