Hello guys & girls, Thanks for taking the time to come here and read about my impending death. Just before Christmas i received an email saying that I could get a place on the 2012 Virgin London Marathon for just £500! "Wow!" I said, "That's cheap as chips!" (or words there abouts. The sentiment was the same) So i quickly wrote off an email telling them that i'd be very excited to take this opportunity and that I could probably, maybe, get Marathon fit in the four months that I had. They wrote back, "£500?? No, no, no. It's £1,500" Well, that correspondence ended right there. So, i continue my lacklustre training for summer & general well being/health, whilst also continue drinking and eating all the bad things we all go to bed thinking about. Cream cakes, Chocolate, Coffee, Sugary snacks and nice fatty, greasy meals. Yummy! Anywho! Whilst i was abusing my body over the course of Christmas, little did i know that the people at Rathbone were working tirelessly to make my £500 dream a reality. Suddenly, out of the blue; "Hello, you still wanna run the Marathon for £500? You gotta be quick the cut off date is this Friday!" HolySh*t! Can i actually do this? Can i get Marathon fit, raise £500 and NOT die in the process by April the 22nd?? I thought... Probably not. But it's worth a shot! So now, i am asking for you lovely, beautiful, kind and generous people (who are also completely flawless in everyway. Especially you, yeah you. you are my favourite) to please help me raise the £500 needed. Also, if you are really truely special, you can find a way to ensure or increase the odds of me NOT dying but that's not a prerequisite.  Anyway. Enough about my melodramatic statements of impending doom. "What charity will we be giving our money too?" I hear you clamour. You, my lovely and amazing hoard of peeps, will be raising money for !!!RATHBONE!!! <a href="http://www.rathboneuk.org/">http://www.rathboneuk.org/</a> <span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;">Rathbone is a UK-wide voluntary youth sector organisation providing opportunities for young people to transform their life-circumstances by re-engaging with learning, discovering their ability to succeed and achieving progression to further education, training and employment.  Basically they go about helping young people who haven't been lucky enough to live in the right places or with the right people. My folks have been foster parents throughout most of my life and I grew up with some of these kinds of people. The vast majority are good people, just have been forced to hang about with the wrong types of people and been pushed into situations you and me hopefully will never be in.
