<p class="MsoNormal">I am thrilled (and terrified!) to have been selected by Queen Mary University, where I work, to run the London Marathon on behalf <strong><span style="font-family: Arial;">READ</span></strong><span> International and the</span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: Arial; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white;"><span> </span></span><strong><span style="font-family: Arial;">READ</span></strong><span> Book Project London East.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span> </span><span style="font-family: Arial;">The </span><strong><span style="font-family: Arial;">READ</span></strong><span> Book Project London East is a student-led project at Queen Mary, under the charity<span> </span></span><strong><span style="font-family: Arial;">READ</span></strong><span> International, and supported by Provide volunteering in the Students’ Union. There are projects in 20 other universities around the country, all aiming to raise £10,000 and collecting as many unused text books and equipment from local secondary schools as they can. These are then boxed and shipped to Tanzania over the summer and eight of the volunteers from the London East team distribute the books in Tanzania in August 2012.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>This is a fantastic local charity and I hope you will be able to support both this excellent project and me in achieving my goal of running the London Marathon.</span></p>
