The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself, Jennifer (the better half) and family have had to come to the reality that my father in law, the wifes father figure, grandparent to my kids, mentor, drinking buddy and friend has now been taken  by the unrelentless condition that is CANCER.

A fit and healthy man. Devoted to his family. Dedicated to his work and providing for his family. Larger than life and down to earth individual, has been taken by prostrate cancer. He refused to give in too the disease, stayed strong and positive throughout.

Along with his son Jack and partner Megan, me and Jennifer will be running up the tallest building in Manchester in the hope to raise a minimum of £150 each towards assisting and supporting the amazing work and research the Christie hospital does for and towards reducing cancer statistics. The challenge involves running 46 floors. 798 stairs in a timed event.

Every step we take. Every muscle fibre that burns and hurts will be in memory of the man we long to be with us.

Although in reality there will never be a cure for this disease, we hope that our funds raised will contribute towards new research and methods to give loved ones a better quality of life and time with their families to help ease their experience
