Marc Overmars, Team UNICEF - Clipper Round the World Race 2019/20

Clipper Round the World Race · 31 December 2020 ·
Great news! I've been allocated a spot on the UNICEF racing yacht with Skipper Ian Wiggin for the 2019-20 Clipper Round the World Race.
I registered for the Asia-Pacific Challenge Leg 5 from the Whitsundays in Australia to Sanya and Zhuhai in China starting 18 January 2020.
I will keep everyone updated via the website and social media and have set up this fundraising page for anyone who wishes to contribute to UNICEF's work with money going straight to UNICEF UK. There are 11 different yachts participating in the race with one branded as UNICEF and all crew aboard are self-funded. The race itself will start 2 September 2019 from London and finish back in London early August 2020.

RACING TO HELP:
A leading international event, the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is continuing its successful partnership with Unicef UK, the world’s leading organisation for children, which started in April 2015.
Challenging the Clipper Race office, Clipper 2019-20 Race Crew, Clipper Race Alumni and Race Partners, our target of £400,000 will smash the £1 million milestone.
Please support Team UNICEF in reaching their team target of £33,000 in aid of Unicef UK as they race around the world. These much needed funds will make a lasting difference to the lives of the world's most vulnerable children.
