Our mission is improve the lives of all people affected by ME. Working towards a future where everyone with ME receives the understanding, equity and care they deserve. We provide practical support and healthcare services, as well as funding breakthrough research and campaigning for change.

Story

We'd love you to sponsor us, because Action for ME is a great and worthy cause which deserves your donation (a lot more than us!)

ME (also know as Chronic Fatigue) is a long term and disabling physical illness. It affects the main body systems and the way that they work, particularly the nervous and immune systems, and means feeling exhausted most, if not all, of the time. This is in a different league of tiredness (from even post Marchy running tiredness, so you get the idea) and many people with ME are utterly house (or bed) bound.

Worst of all, ME affects 240,000 people in the UK. There is no cure, no agreed treatment, and no agreed test to diagnose it. Therefore sufferers not only have to put up with the debilitating symptoms but are, often, not even understood by friends, family, employers and even doctors. This can cause further stress when sufferers can not access the same fair treatment and rights that others with better understood illnesses rightly can.

Action for ME is dedicated to improving the lives of people with ME, campaigning for more research and better treatment. They provide information, services and support to ME sufferers, whilst raising the profile of the illness and facilitating research.

Therefore, if you can spare a donation of any size we would be very grateful indeed for your generosity.
