I usually raise money by cycling, but this year I'm taking part in something different.

I will be attempting to climb the three highest peaks in the UK in 24 hours. 

Do I walk regularly....err not yet?  So my dogs will be getting lots of hill walking during the summer as I adapt my muscles to climbing on my feet rather than two wheels.

There are 20 of us from Babcock undertaking this challenge, and we will encourage each other to the top.

STEMNET (the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Network) is a charity that creates opportunities for young people of all backgrounds and abilities to meet inspiring role models, understand real world applications of STEM subjects and experience hands-on STEM activities that motivate, inspire and bring learning and career opportunities to life.

We need more young people taking a real interest in these areas if we are to live in a country with a thriving economy.

The STEM Ambassadors come from a wide range of careers and professions, including environmental scientists, civil engineers, marine biologists, medical physicists, pharmacists, energy analysts, architects and games developers to name but a few.
