Place2Be is a children's mental health charity that works to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We help them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.

Story

I am taking part in the National Three Peaks Challenge; climbing the three highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours to raise money for Place2Be.

Place2Be provides mental health counselling in schools in the UK.  1 in 8 children today have a diagnosable mental health problem.  50% of people with lifetime mental health problems first experience symptoms by the age 14.  Rates of depression and anxiety among teenagers have increased by 70% in the past 25 years.  This is why Place2Be's work in schools throughout the UK is so important.

I would be so grateful for any support you're able to give - together we can make a real and positive difference to children's mental health.
