Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Maureen Ricketts (my mother in law) was diagnosed with myeloma (blood & bone cancer) in January 2009. The Karen Morris foundation has supported us tremendously by providing a home from home for Mervyn, Maureen’s husband and Mary Norris her daughter during the periods of her most difficult and emotional treatments.  As a way of giving something back to this most worthy charity that is funded entirely on donations I have shaved my head and beard (using bic razors!) and now will run the London Marathon. Please support me by giving whatever you can...  Nothing prepares us for the diagnosis of terminal cancer however, with your sponsorship we can help other families support their sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers by being there with them when needed most. I am going to run the London Marathon on the 13th April 2014.
