WaterAid is an international non-profit with one goal: to change the world through water. Along with decent toilets and good hygiene, a reliable supply of clean water is essential for health, dignity and a life full of opportunity.

Story

On 3rd August 2018, I will be trekking with 100 fundraisers from HSBC 100km within the Arctic Circle in Greenland.

If I hit £1,000 I'll wear a toilet suit home on the train. That's 4 train changes. £2,000 I'll wear it home and back to work the next day. £10,000 I'll wear it for the trek!

We won't have access to typcial facilities, everyone will be carrying their own equipment and sleeping rough in the middle of nowhere.

Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good. With clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, children are born healthier. They get the chance to go to school and grow up to become adults. Women and men get to earn a living. Whole communities start to thrive. It sounds normal and it should be.
