The Prince's Trust Palace to Palace 2016 · 2 October 2016 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

NEXT EVENT for this Fund Raising : Palace to Palace - 2/10/2016

Background : I love my road cycling, and I freely confess to dressing up in lycra every weekend !!!  In recompense for this, I ride to raise cash for charity in two events each year.  For 2016, I have again chosen The Princes Trust, a London based charity helping young people get a better start to their lives.  Read about the great things they do at their website.

The TWO CYCLING EVENTS for 2016,  I am taking part in are :

1. London Prudential 100 mile ride on SUNDAY 31st July 2016 - COMPLETED in 7h 11m.     This ride follows the Olympic road cycling course from the Olympic stadium in East London, routes out into the Surrey Country side taking in Leith Hill, then Box Hill before routing back in to London and finishing at the end of The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.  It's 160km of fairly hilly cycling, which entitles me to a beer or two afterwards !

NEXT EVENT ... COMING UP in OCTOBER .....

2. Palace to Palace on Sunday 2nd October 2016 with "team Oracle" - This is a 46 mile ride, starting in front of Buckingham Palace in London, and finishing in Windsor having cycled past Windsor Castle.  I'll be cycling this with my hubby and along with colleagues from Oracle.  I intend to show they you can wear lycra with dignity !!

Please support me by making a donation, so that disadvantaged youngsters can get a leg up to a better start as they start to embark on their adult lives, through the marvelous work of The Princes Trust.

Thank you so much for your warm generosity - I really appreciate it.
