Cavernoma Alliance UK (CAUK) supports everyone affected by cavernoma. A cavernoma is a cluster of abnormal blood vessels in the brain or spine. It is more common than many realise yet often unheard of. Our mission is to find a cure and to improve lives through support, information and research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My sister and I are raising money for Cavernoma Alliance UK.  Fin, my husband, has been diagnosed with a cavernoma (cavernous malformation) in his brain and this has had a significant impact on our lives over the past year and half. After an initial seizure in 2011 we were confident that it was simply a 'one off', however during 2012 he suffered many more seizures and we realised that his cavernoma was going to have a much bigger impact on our lives than we first thought.

The Cavernoma Alliance has been an invaluable source of support to us. We have been able to access information and find out which doctors specialise in this condition. We've also been able to chat to others who are living with cavernomas and this has been encouraging and informative.

So please support this great charity. We promise we'll get our butts into gear and train if you dig deep and support us!!

Thank you.xx
