Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.

Story

Hey all,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So a HUGE group of us are taking part in this 48 hour challenge to put on a full scale show of Singin In the Rain with only 48 hours rehearsal. I’m so excited and nervous to attempt to give everyone my best Debbie Reynolds taking on the role of Kathy’s Selden. Every single person involved is donating their time completely for charity - and the wonderful charity that Showtime Challenge are supporting this year is the Lewy Body’s Society. Here is some info about this amazing charity: The Lewy Body Society, established in June 2006 in the UK, was the first charity in Europe exclusively concerned with Lewy body dementia. Its mission is to fund clinical research to improve the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. It also raises awareness of Lewy body dementia among the general public and those in the medical profession and decision-making positions; and provides information resources for patients & carers. www.lewybody.org

If you or anyone you know has been affected by this and you would like to donate to this amazing cause, please please claim that donate button on a page of anyone in the entire company and support this challenge and charity. It all goes into one big Singin In The Rain pot.

Thank you so much for your time guys and hope to see you there on October 13th!
