Story
Age: ‘21’
Cycling Experience: None. Ever.
Challenges: Physical but more than anything
psychological.
Having learnt that my brand new husband had just signed up to London 2 Paris bike ride to help raise money for a wonderful cause, I thought that surely after many races and half-marathons and countless spinning classes I’ve done I will be able to cycle from one country to another! EASY!
Oh how wrong was I!!!
Having not ridden a bike since a tender age of 10, I started from pretty much scratch and it’s been a STEEP learning curve for me (with a lot of tears, fears and sore bums) but with pure determination and your support I’m sure I will smash it.
We've decided to don Lycra and pretty much give up all of our free time to weekends of training across the Kent countryside. With our commitment we'd love you to show some love for our efforts and help to support Debra, a charity that works on behalf of people with genetic skin blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). EB is a genetic disorder that result in fragility of the skin and, in some cases, internal organs. Blisters, open wounds and sores can form as a result of the slightest touch. There is currently no known cure for EB.
