Paul Strickland Scanner Centre - Chenies Spring Walk 2010 · 3 May 2010 ·

We’re an independent charity working to improve lives of people with cancer and other serious conditions. We do this through medical research and by providing the best patient care using high quality scanners. Last year we scanned 18,000 patients giving them and their families hope for the future.

Story

Marion has been through the various scanners at the Paul Strickland Centre more times than she cares to remember, both in 1994 and 2009. When she went through it for the first time in 2009, she apparently 'lit up like a Christmas tree' - not the best news. The second time, about three months later, showed no apparent sign of disease and so allowed her to progress to the stem cell transplant. The rest of the story, you know about. Bring on the new technology and modern medicine .......

Also to remember others for whom modern medicine was not quite strong enough.
