Place2Be is a children's mental health charity that works to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We help them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.

Story

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Under much duress, I have agreed to humiliate myself in front of my peers at Credit Suisse by competing in a dance contest where I will have the opportunity to show my two left feet!

As the date approaches, I need all the moral and monetary support I can get and for those of you who dig deeply in your pocket I might even agree to show you the video!  However, I will require that you burn it after viewing...no blackmail allowed!

I am competing in the annual Credit Suisse karaoke/dancing event - Strictly Karaoke - in aid of Place2Be. This extravaganza will take place on Thursday 15 October.  I need to raise as much money as possible to gain valuable points which will go towards my score on the night and help me win the title of Ballroom Goddess!

This event is the biggest fundraising event of the year for our charity, so your support is more important than ever.

The Place2Be is a charity that works inside schools to support and nurture troubled children and their parents. Children who are troubled by friendship issues, bullying, gang culture or crime, children whose worries remain unaddressed can find that their problems 'grow up' with them. In short, children who can resolve their emotional and behavioural difficulties are less likely to go off the rails, whilst parents who are equipped to tackle their own issues are able to form more positive relationships with their children. The result is happier children with better prospects and that benefits everyone.

Thank you very much for your support!
