Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Sponsors still welcome.

28.05.11 - Still going! I started counting at the beginning of March and I had covered approx 1300 miles by the end of April. We still haven't reached the Football Club Target and I hadn't reached my personal target - so I've carried on. I am now managing between 120 and 170 miles per week and I will publish another total for the end of May. Please keep sponsoring.

Initial Message - I am raising money for a registered charity that I am involved with. Horwich St Mary's Junior Football Club. Within the club are approx. 30 teams of boys and girls from age 4 to 18 which totals some 500 players. I aim to ride my trusty iron horse over 1000 miles over 10 weeks. I am part way through and things are going well. I aim to finish on 30 April and raise enough funds to contribute to the World Record Attempt organised by the club. We aim to lay a line of coins of more than 40.3 miles. The aim is to break the record currently held by an American organisation and raise enough funds to make up the shortfall of funding required to adapt our football pitches by levelling and installing drainage whilst also providing a club house and car park to take the cars off the main roads and make it safer for the players.

As this is benefiting a local cause I am asking you to contribute any money you can.

Your help will be greatly appreciated by the many players now and in the future.

So please dig deep now and donate
