One of our mates on the Newhaven lifeboat has recently been diagnised with terminal cancer. This is such a shock for both him, his family and friends. Any words or acts of support seem so hopelessly inadequate in the circumstances but one of the ways we feel best able to show our solidarity is by raising money for the charity who is supporting him through this difficult time. A South Downs Way cycle ride has already taken place to raise money, and on Saturday 21st July a group of guys from the Newhaven lifeboat together with a number of wives, girlfirends and friends are walking part of thre South Downs Way in order to raise money for Macmillan.
