Three years ago as I was approaching 30,  my younger brother had a serious blood disorder. (Aplastic Anemia)

Because of charities like Anthony Nolan and their tireless research and bone marrow register and after some intensive treatment he is now approaching his own 30th birthday and is well enough to participate in the Great North Run himself. 

So I'll be running, with my two brothers and I'm hoping to raise some money and awareness for a great charity that does some fantastic work.
