I'm running the Tiberias Marathon in January in aid of Bethlehem's
part of the international network of L'Arche communities.
Operating an income-generating workplace through the production of wool felt gifts, Ma'an is primarily a community in which people with intellectual disabilities and those without can work together, learn from one another, and celebrate life together.
Your support will enable Ma'an Lil-Hayat to remove more barriers, embrace more lives and shine more light in Palestine.
When I first visited Ma'an Lil-Hayat, I was profoundly moved by the manner in which it brings people together across intellectual, religious and cultural boundaries to forge real community.
Ma'an Lil-Hayat means 'Together for life', which represents well the spirit it embodies. In a divided society, people from very different backgrounds, with and without disabilities, Muslims and Christians, share life and work together.
The felt products themselves are made from the wool of Bethlehem sheep, supporting local shepherds.
Give what you can to nourish a community in which differences are opportunities not barriers.
Thanks,
Mark
