We are the world’s largest charity dedicated to saving lives through research. Our vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Cancer Research UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (1089464), Scotland (SC041666), the Isle of Man (1103) and Jersey (247).

Story

The Great North Run (13.1 miles) will be the furthest I have ever run. To date I have only ever run half that distance so will be interesting to see if my old legs hold up to the challenge. Being the competitive soul I am, I am aiming to complete the distance in around 2hrs.

I will be part of a team at Sage who are doing this for Cancer Research. Over the past few years it seems that more friends/family are being affected by Cancer.

I am hoping to raise a total of £350 which will contribute to the £70k that Sage are looking to raise between the 237 participants from our Sage offices in the UK. We hope this will assist in the development of new advances in cancer treatment.
