My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. During the weekend of 11 -12 June 2011 a team of five of us from RBS Group Internal Audit will be walking 100km to raise money for St Dunstan's charity. Since 1915 St Dunstan's has brought hope and inspiration to generations of ex-Service men and women who have served their country and become blind. St Dunstan's training, care and continued support have helped thousands of visually impaired ex-Service men and women to lead fulfilling lives. Our team of Darryl Harper, Matthew Webb, Mike Park, Mark Cooke and Aj Shazad hope to complete the walk from London to Brighton within 24 hours (and without any sleep!). We are acutely aware of the need to support the charities that work tirelessly to ensure ex-servicemen and women are supported when they need help and support the most, hence our choice of the charity.
My charity
Blind Veterans UK (formerly St Dunstan's)
Charity Registration No. 216227
We give blind veterans much-needed support to adjust to sight loss, overcome the challenges of blindness and enjoy daily life. Our charity has been offering physical and emotional support to vision-impaired members of our military since 1915.
