Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On June 4th I am taking part in the 2016 Blenheim Palace Triathlon as part of a 80 + person team raising money and awareness for Thinking of Oscar.

Oscar Cole was an adorable little boy, with a wonderful, infectious smile. His sudden death at 16 months old was truly a tragedy. It is impossible to measure the impact of Oscar’s death on his family, friends, and indeed, our entire community. Competing in this triathlon and raising money and awareness for Thinking of Oscar is very important to all of us.

Thinking of Oscar aims are :

Providing support and activities to children, their families and medical teams who strive to make their time in hospital as comfortable as possible.

Providing funding for the development of research and development into and the provision of improved diagnostic techniques and technology.

Providing increased access to relevant knowledge and data via the sharing of best practice and the application of technology.

Thinking of Oscar is about identifying projects which are over and above those which the National Health System is able to provide. We are focused on areas which are significant enough to really matter but not so complex that they cannot be addressed in our lifetimes.

I am proud to join a team to honour Oscar’s memory, support his family and friends, and raise awareness of this important charity set up in his name.
