No parent expects to live longer than their child, but for many of the families we support, this is a reality. Julia's House, the Dorset & Wiltshire Children's Hospice charity provides frequent respite care for children and support for their families at home, in the community and at our hospice.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and four team mates are cycling from Lands End to John O Groats at the beginning of May. What was initially a random 'what can I do to mark my fortieth birthday?' conversation in the pub has turned into a mammoth training and logistical exercise in trying to get our backsides from one end of the country to the other!

To make this event count, my mate Trevor Witcher and I are riding on behalf of Julia's House Charity: This Charity provides a caring home and respite centre for life limited and life threatened children and their parents in Dorset (Check out their website for details).

Julia's House is Dorset's only hospice dedicated to children with life-limiting conditions. The majority of the children they care for are unlikely to live beyond the age of 18.

If you can donate a few quid for this well worthy cause, your money will go to help Julia's House provide the dedicated care and support to the kids and their families. Any donation is very welcome, I would be very grateful if you can support us for the trip.

Cheers

Mark
